CIS 375: Advanced Web & Mobile Development – provides an understanding of concepts, techniques and software products used in building dynamic software applications for the Web. This course uses standard methodologies for application design and development and will teach evaluation, implementation and configuration of open source software, scripting and databases to create web and hybrid mobile applications.
As a student in this course, you will develop a firm understanding of the more advanced concepts of web application development and the systems that generate dynamic web content. In addition, you will begin to think critically upon how the web has changed through time, and where the future of app development is going. You might even consider a future career in web and mobile development.
Students must complete CIS 112 (databases) and CIS 275 (web design and development) prior to enrolling in CIS 375. This course is typically offered every other Spring term.
