From Four Corners Country
These images tell the story of landscape’s eternal value as well as its constant and irrevocable change through time. The work began as a collection of more traditional landscape photographs, but I found some of the more interesting images were falling outside of that purview. So, I began questioning the rules of landscape photography in general, along with why and when we should break them. Specifically, I began to question how we can avoid mankind’s impact upon the land when that influence has become so pervasive. This led to a more involved study of Conservation Photography.
